Decided to build another semi truck. These things are way too much fun. Now, if you thought crawling was expensive, think again! These are definitely worth it though.

I bought a Globe Liner from RPP a couple of weeks ago, along with a flatbed trailer from OmniModels, 3:1 GRU from RC4WD, and full ball bearings from eBay.

Needless to say, It was built within 24 hours of receiving it.

Had to clean the workbench first.

Fitting the GRU and moving the servos forward.

The GRU ended up being obnoxiously loud, so I took it out and I'm now considering an auxiliary transmission with 3:1 and 1:1 ratios. There should be plenty of room for one. I just don't know how I'm going to do it. Any ideas?

I thought about getting that very kit myself. You could try a HPI GRU and a faster motor. The HPI unit is 7 something to 1. I ran one one my scaler and didnt notice any real noise from it.

Thanks guys!

I've been thinking of installing a higher turn motor and smaller pinion instead.

I got it painted yesterday. I really like the color scheme. I was really rushing it though, so there are lots of blemishes and touch-ups.
