got me a new toy . it only has a few small scratchs on the rear skid plate, body, and engine heatsink (from a rollover) as well as a well scraped rear bumper due to wheelies. it's also missing the radio box cover but other than that it's complete and in great shape.

well i'v got good news and bad news. the good news is that i made a cold air intake today, i used two Savage 21 air filters and some brass fittings and hose. the bad news is that when i went to test it i found out that on the previous outting ( last week) i had broken a hole in the gas tank and cut the fuel line almost in two. what suprises me is that what made the hole is the screw that holds the shocks to the towers and is about an inch away from the tank.

fuel tank damage. the screw that made the hole is circled in the first pic, you can see the mark in the plastic from the srcew when it hit in the second pic.

Your gonna love that truck. Just sold my 4.6 savage X to a buddy and almost regret it. They are tough as nails. Regularly jumped it 10 to 15 feet in the air, not always landing on the wheels, and it would just keep on gettin it. The kind of truck you can let your novice friends drive and still remain friends. Not to say you wont break things as you've discovered, but that hit would have destroyed some other brands I've owned.

well i bought another one. scored this one for only $50 . the guy said that it ran really good other than the roto start and he was tired of messing with it. it's in sort of rough shape and is missing a few minnor pieces and i have some doubts about the story but it's got a whole lot of integy parts so it shoud be worth it.

started to tear it down today. the previouse owner had put on all the integy parts because he hit a curb and destroyed the front. However he didn't do anything to the chassis, i should be able to straighten it out though. the only bpken parts that i'v found so far is one of the steering crank post is broken in half and one of the shock shafts is bent but i should be able to straighten that out too. i'm going to get into the motor, tranny, and diffs tomorrow. it has an OFNA picco .26 eninge in it but it's locked up, i'm hopeing it's just from sitting and not something seriouse.
