Can you bring it with you whether it's finished or not?

Sure I'll bring it with... got the ESC, reciever, and front motor hooked up so far. Fired it up tonight but for some reason I'm having trouble binding the reciever to the transmitter. Got it to move a little bit but the steering is glitching. Thought it might have been the frame rate cause I'm running a digital servo so I messed around with that then bound it again but still was doing the same thing. Then I thought I might need to install a BEC but the Mamba Max Pro says it has one built in already and is good up to 6S lipo. So I gave up for now. I might look at it again tonight. Now I'm thinking that maby the spectrum reciever I got isn't compatable with a digital servo. Oh well, I'll post some pics of the wiring and dashboard installed later tonight.

Finally got it working after a couple of hours of fustration. Seems like electronics and I don't play well together. Apparently the Mamba Max Pro does need a BEC because as soon as I wired it in no more glitching servo. I've got front wheel drive right now so I took it for a spin around the basement. Pretty cool, you can hear a slight roar from the tires. Decent speed from a 2S with 75 turn motors. I think it will work out ok with 4S that I plan on running. Here's some pics of the finished dashboard and the wiring I just finished up.

It's lookin like the super will be functional for tommorow at Great Falls. Got the rear motor wired up and it will now crawl up my carpet stairs!! Not bad for no weight is the front of this thing yet. I got a chance to weight it on my bathroom scale by holding it and subtracting my body weight. It weights in at..........

17 lbs

That thing is silent. Can it spin the wheels with those 75 turn motors?

Thanks guys,

It will spin the wheels a small amount when you start full throtle from a dead stop but it's top speed is fairly slow so it won't spin that much. But this is all with this 2S lipo just testing it out. I have plans for dropping a 4S in it soon or maby hooking up two 3S batteries in series to get an equvilent 6S but that might be a little too much. For how slow it goes it's got a lot of torque right now.

Here's some action shots of the super at Great Falls, VA. I'm working on getting a video of it too. Man this this so F-ing awesome everything I expected and more!! With all the weight and all the torque it moves around decent with a 2S but really starts to come to life with a 3S. It seems like everything happens slower with this big of a rig compaired with a 2.2, like when I rolled it a few times it seemed like it took forever for it to flip. Nothing broke and the roll cage saved barbie every time. It's no comp rig but is fun as hell to drive. Still got a few more details to add to it, not quite done yet.

Here's a short video of it in action. If you don't like slo-mo then stop watching about a minute in. I slowed the last clip down so you can see the driver getting knocked around in the seat ha ha!!

That place looks great. You think it would be a good place for a comp?

For sure so many spots to choose from and easy to get to.... only drawback is the $5 entry fee. There is a way to get there without paying but it's a little longer walk and I haven't tried it yet but I'll let you know how far it is when I do.

Broke a revo rod end on the left rear side (the side with the single lower link). I'm not sure if it was from hitting the link on a rock really hard or just that the left side is weaker only having a single link. I replaced it and time will tell. Also put a 4S in and ran it around the yard for a minute or two at full speed and the rear motor caught fire :o . I shut it off and waited a couple minutes. I started it back up again and it still worked, but heard a slight rattle from the can. Not sure if the 4S is too much for the 75 turn motors or running it on full speed for extended period of time did it. Gonna take if for another run today.

As big as that rig is you may have to get aluminum rod ends $$$. I dont think Ive ever heard of anyone running a 75turn on 4s. Was it actual flame, of just smoke? What ever it was, its sounds like one of those great RC moments :thumb:
