Mine is runnig at the moment, but with these things it only takes a moment untill it breaks. Who would have imagined to much power would break parts?

Too bad you guys are so far away. I used to "drift" TT-01's. PVC wheels and stock ride height, not your conformist drifter. I got pretty good at it though.

Here's my old car, sold it to 51WillysJeep, who also owns "Clampy".

If anyone's interested there's an outdoor touring car and truck class race in manassas this Sunday August 1st and every sunday there on after. Here's a pic of the GT class car I run and a link to the site with info and directions:

Osbourn High School
9005 Tudor Lane
Manassas VA 20110

Nice GT'er. Ive been thinking of changing mine to GT specs so I can run that class. All I would have to do is change my battery and motor.

yeah not too much to change... I pulled out the 6400 kV motor I had in there before and dropped in the 17.5 brushless. It's so much slower now but it's better racing since everyone is more evenly matched. With the HPI X patterns you even hear a little tire squeal in the corners sometimes. What body style are you running?

HPI 67 Corvette. HPI vintage wheels. I think I was thinking about the vintage Trans AM class when I posted about the GT class. So I dont think I can run the Vette body can I ? I looked at the site you posted up, the school is only 1-1/2 away. I may try and make it out. I still need to read more on the site, and the roar rules.

For some reason I cant post a pic in this thread. ?

They are pretty lax on rules... just as long as X patterns and 17.5 brushless or 27 turn brushed is run. As long as it's a realistic body which the vette is, should be no problem. The TransAm body I run is not technically a GT body either but I've been running that one in the last few races.

One of these Sundays I'll make it down. I didn't know they ran SC trucks too.

Yeah if enough people show up they'll run just about anything except nitro stuff. Last time I was there they had Mod touring, novice touring, GT, Mini, and SC truck classes. They give you a transponder to attach to your car and every lap is recorded in the computer and printed out so you can see how you did in the qualifying heats and main.
